PATRIOTS: Stand up for country
True Americans stand with the flag and our country and those that lay down their lives for it! I don’t know about you, but I was somewhat angry when I saw the letter titled “Virtual Circus” by Jeffery Coulter.
My grandfather was a war hero who served as a Rough Rider under Teddy Roosevelt. My father served in the Navy. My uncle served in the Navy. My nephew is 101st Airborne and other family goes on. I guess when much is given, much is required.
My heart is full of patriotism and love for this country. My family goes way back past the Civil War serving to make this a free country and it’s my job, I believe, to hold true to the values of our country and stand for those who protect us from the rest of the world that would love to take our freedom away. There is no greater love and service than to lay your life down for another.
These guys are out there giving their lives. With respect to the fallen and those who come home wounded, stand and be silent if you don’t agree, but stand and support the ones who gave so much.
My point is not about me at all, but those who serve — and to remember the fallen and all who sacrifice.
