NIC: Leaders have got to go

| September 13, 2019 1:00 AM

It seems Al Williams has more support from the community, faculty and staff than does the current board and administration. Let’s get back in the NJCAA and clean house in the administration, starting at the top. A recent survey of staff and faculty resulted in a vote of no confidence in the administration so why has nothing changed? I am sure the board and The Press are aware of this survey, but nothing has happened.

It is my understanding that some employees were given the choice of getting fired or retiring on the condition they would not be critical of the administration. Sounds like that was the deal they gave Al. The option to retire (resign) required the employee to sign an agreement not to speak out against the NIC administration. For signing, they received a severance payment. In other words, they were paid to keep their mouth shut about any wrongdoings by the administration. Of those who received this offer, I think Pat Whitcomb is the only one who told them to shove it.

Let’s give Rick and his appointees the same deal.
