POST FALLS — Ronan Malaghan scored two goals for Coeur d’Alene Charter in a 2-1 win over the St. Maries Lumberjacks in an Intermountain League match at The Fields at Real Life Minstries on Wednesday afternoon.

Coeur d’Alene Charter, which has won three of its first four matches in program history in IML play, bounced back from a setback to Timberlake just 24 hours before Wednesday’s match.

“It was a well-rounded match,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Justin Nitti said. “The boys bounced back from a tough game last night (Tuesday) and played really well. We had some good offensive attacks and played good defense, but just had some trouble getting the ball in the back of the net. We definitely had some tired players today.”

Greyson Sands had 13 saves for St. Maries (1-3-1, 1-3-1 IML), which hosts Bonners Ferry on Saturday at City Park.
