Cardinal men win at Fall Invitational

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Bridger Holmes and Griffin McCauley each shot 1-under-par 71 for North Idaho College, leading the men to the team title at the Northwest Athletic Conference Fall Invitational on Tuesday at the Olympia Country Club.
NIC edged Bellevue by seven strokes 288-295 for the team title in the tournament, which was cut to one round after weather postponed the first round on Monday.
Dawson Strobel shot a 72 to tie for fourth for NIC.
Bellevue’s Chase Fisk was medalist with a 70.
In the women’s tournament, Jessey Simmons and Brynley Thompson tied for the seventh for NIC with 87s.
Bellevue’s McKenna Lamb was women’s medalist with an 84.
Spokane and Skagit Valley tied for the women’s team title at 247. NIC tied for third with Columbia Basin with a 262.
NIC concludes the fall schedule with the Northwest Christian Invitational at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore., on Saturday and Sunday.
