Carolyn Marie Coast Stricklan, 72

Carolyn Marie Coast Stricklan, of Spokane, Wash., passed away on Oct. 15, 2019. She was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Wardner, Idaho, to Jack and Mary Ellen Coast. She grew up in Smelterville, Idaho, and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1965. Carolyn married Robert Stricklan on Jan. 17, 1970.

Carolyn was a homemaker in Rose Lake, Idaho, and worked for the Rose Lake Water Association out of her home for over 20 years. Robert’s job took them to Livingston, Mont., until they could retire in 2009. They moved to Spokane in 2016, to be closer to their daughter, Brandi.

Carolyn took pride in being a wonderful wife to Robert and a loving mother to Jim and Brandi.

She loved elk hunting in the St. Joe with Robert, her mother Mary Ellen and step-dad Gilbert Moran. Her love of fishing came when her son-in-law, Brent, introduced her to the sport. Carolyn was strong in her faith and looked forward to going to her home in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of 49 years; son, Jim Nickerson; daughter, Brandi (Brent) Lewis, and her three grandsons: John Nickerson, Cole and Lane Lewis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be sent to Pinehurst Community Bible Church, P.O. Box 1119, Pinehurst, Idaho 83850.
