Planet Fitness to open in former Sears location

Pre-sales, membership specials and tours are offered at the Planet Fitness introductory location in the former Samuel’s Jewelry area at Silver Lake Mall (202 W. Hanley Ave.).

The 20,000-plus square-foot exercise specialty area will open in the former Sears location on the north end of the mall in mid- to late November. Mall hours for the Planet Fitness intro store are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 10 to 4 Saturday and 11 to 5 Sunday.

Government Way Maverik

to open next month

The newly constructed Maverik convenience and petroleum store should open in November at the southwest corner of Government Way and Dalton Avenue.

The store is known for its premium BonFire food made fresh in the Maverik daily. It also offers fuel, drinks, fresh-made gourmet burritos, sandwiches, pizzas, toasted subs, cookies and coffee blends from around the world and normal convenience store items.

The company started in 1928 in Wyoming and has more than 300 locations across 11 western states. Check www.maverik.com.

moves to 901 Fourth

Walsh & Lewis PLLC, also known as Law Group CdA, is moving Tuesday to 901 N. Fourth St. The historic former residence previously was the Gaiwan Tea House.

Attorneys and partners Sean Walsh and Alexandria Lewis had the house restored to its original condition with ornate craftmanship. They are moving from 1048 N. Third, where they have been for three years. Associate attorney is Monica Rector.

- Staybridge Suites hotel opens Oct. 22 at 1347 W. Riverstone.

- Alpine Animal Hospital (now on Best Avenue) is building a new place on Kathleen west of Mango Tree.

- Iron Pizza Co. will be at 104 Best.

- A sign on property in the northwest corner of U.S. 95 and Wyoming Avenue says “Equipment Hayden” and “Landlocked Marine.”

- BMC (Stock Building Supply) is building a new place in the northeast corner of Prairie and Huetter. It will move in November from Kathleen and U.S. 95.

- Black Lodge Brewing will be at 204 N. Third St.

- Shiki Sushi will be on Sherman.

- The Broker Sinclair Team of Keller Williams Realty CDA will move to 1052 W. Mill Ave.

- Coeur d’Alene Paving and CDA Redi Mix are building a new place at 3110 N. Government Way.

- The Bier Haus will be in the former Camera Corral building at 515 Sherman.

- STCU will open a branch in Rathdrum later in the year.

- A Wake Up Call Coffee place will be in the former Taco Time area at 2517 N. Fourth.

- The new Bakery by the Lake will be on Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

- Aesthetica Skin & Beauty Bar will be at 1113 E. Sherman. Holaday & Co. with soaps and lotions will be at 1109 Sherman in November.

- AutoZone is building a new place at Highway 54 and Sylvan Lane in Athol.

- A new pub-eatery will open next to Vertical Earth on East Sherman.

- A Burger King is under construction at 3827 N. Ramsey (just south of Kathleen).

- Coeur d’Alene Vision Source will move from 850 Ironwood to a new building at 3879 N. Schreiber Way in November.

- Watch for Monarch Ramen & Noodle House opening Oct. 23 in the former Syringa location on Fourth Street.

- A new building for Idaho Central Credit Union is under construction at 1327 W. Appleway.

- Bi-Mart will open a new store in the former Stein’s Family Foods building at 16102 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum.

- Seasonal store Spirit Halloween is open in Silver Lake Mall. It has costumes and accessories for adults and kids and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 to 6 Sunday.

- The former Burger King building at 216 Appleway has been sold to another fast-food vendor. Rumors are it’s Carl’s Jr., which would move.

- The new Hardwick Hardware is under construction at 3820 E. Mullan in Post Falls.

- New businesses will be in the commercial area of the new Northern complex at Ramsey and Hanley.

- Watch for an interesting development just north of the Government Way Safeway. The developer already has put in a cool water feature and evidently plans to have a coffee stand, car lot and rock shop.

- Now that we have less light, check your vehicle lights. It’s scary how many rigs are missing some.
