Bayley qualifies for Second Stage

of Korn Ferry Tour Q-School

DAYTON, Nev. — Derek Bayley of Rathdrum qualified for the Second Stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Q-School on Friday.

Bayley finished second in a First Stage qualifer at Dayton Valley Golf Club, shooting 69-70-70-65—274, 14 under par. The top 20 and ties at Dayton Valley move on to the Second Stage.

Fredrik Nilehn of Lubbock, Texas, won the qualifier at 16-under 272.

The Korn Ferry Tour, which was known as the Tour until this summer, is one step below the PGA Tour.

There are five sites for Second Stage qualifiers.

Bayley, the former Lakeland High and Washington State standout who turned professional last winter, has played this season on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada).

Fifteen Zag games will be

on ESPN family of networks

The Gonzaga men’s basketball team’s ESPN television schedule for this season, with available game times, was released Friday.

Fifteen of the Zags’ 31 regular season games this season will be on the ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU).

The full television schedule for all Gonzaga games will be released as game times and broadcast information is finalized.

West Coast Conference basketball will be featured on ESPN’s Championship Week coverage once again in 2020, with five live telecasts from Las Vegas: two quarterfinal games (Saturday, March 7, ESPN2), the WCC semifinals (Monday, March 9, ESPN or ESPN2) and the championship game on Tuesday, March 10 (ESPN).

Gonzaga opens the season with an exhibition against Lewis-Clark State on Nov. 1. The first regular season game kicks off three consecutive home games and is on Nov. 5, against Alabama State.
