TRUMP: Right about Biden
Trump’s conversation with foreign leaders about the potential criminal activity of the Bidens has been getting a lot of press. How dare he use a diplomatic conversation to discuss past issues of diplomacy between his U.S. predecessors and Ukraine! I have many questions and a few thoughts on the matter.
I have not gotten a good reason yet, but it seems like the only reason Trump’s conversations are deemed inappropriate is because of campaign finance laws? But I don’t really see how those relate because Joe Biden is only a potential candidate trying to woo the democratic nomination — I don’t have a ballot with his name on it to record my vote. I haven’t heard any other reason given for why Trump’s perceived “intentions” might be construed as criminal.
Next thought is that if Joe Biden abused his office and position to enrich himself and his family in a foreign country, threatened that country to remove potential barriers and people in his way, bragged about doing so, etc., who should be investigating it? It doesn’t seem like the DOJ is (or was), although they clearly should have been. If a president knows of probable criminal abuse of office in a former official or current official, isn’t it his duty to make sure that person is investigated? Heck, its all over the news that Biden’s made millions off Joe’s position, dealings and threats, so its not exactly a secret at this point. If not Trumps prerogative to at least get the ball rolling on getting to the bottom of Joe Biden’s dirty deeds, then whose? Trump is Commander in Chief first and foremost.
It seems Washington is good about putting a Supreme Court Justice on trial without evidence or corroboration for something that nobody can even strictly remember happening 30 years ago. However, when faced with evidence of corroborated, underhanded abuse of an office of trust and leadership, why don’t I see anyone Washington going after Joe Biden?
