LETTER: Right on target

Mr. Shawn Youngman, I want to first thank you for your service and second thank you for your well-written letter regarding the disparaging remarks written by the Liningers and published Nov. 13.

I am in contact with our local law enforcement through my work on a daily basis. These dedicated men and women do their job to keep us and our property safe. I see firsthand the training they endure to prepare them for their chosen career. It’s always easy for uninformed people to spout their armchair opinions; it’s another thing to run toward the sound of gunfire.

Mr. Youngman, your letter was on point and I thank you for writing what many of us were thinking while shaking our heads in disgust as we read the letter by the Liningers.
