RAYDEANE: Praising inspirational passion

| May 29, 2019 1:00 AM

I disagree with Melinda Cadwallader’s letter accusing Raydeane Owens of being judgmental when she writes for the “Live Well CdA” magazine. The opposite is true. Her amazingly talented articles pour God’s goodness into our hearts.

Owens’ character is authenticated by an unconditional love, grace and mercy. So many people — her family, our Heart of the City Church community of more than 1,000, as well as, a multitude of people and organizations across our country and internationally — have all been inspired by this woman’s passion. A passion to share the shining light of Jesus Christ.

Cadwallader’s attempt to judge, condemn and shame Owens’ writing in The Press is a false tirade. Seven years of knowing this pastor have shown me that she is “the real deal.” She walks in compassionate hope, reaching out to help others. You don’t have to just take my word. Talk with anyone else, who knows her and you will hear similar positive feedback.

As an aside, Cadwallader’s attempt to impugn Raydeane Owen’s reputation and writings is insincere and ineffective. However, “love never fails.” I wish the very best future for her. And I hope she will find a constructive pathway to solve her frustrations that is not based upon a negative public discourse against others.
