AMERICA: Path to greatness

Is America great again, yet? Have we become that shining example of greatness and equality of being a great nation? When did we lose our greatness, if we ever had it?

Don’t get me wrong, I Love America! I served in the Navy and have voted in every election since I turned 18. I have attended rallies and supported candidates. I understand the political issues and often, find common ground.

My problem is with people who just blindly follow a party line because “that’s what good Republicans/Democrats do!” How do you know? Is that what you believe? Is that what you were told? Have you done any research or investigating on your own?

I fear this country will become great again as a country that oppresses people and denies equal rights even further. It is already happening.

There was a reason our Founding Fathers insisted on the “separation of church and state.” This was to trust that our leaders would have the ability to think of all people involved and not just the mighty, or wealthy few.

Is America great again? Yes: We are the greatest laughing stock to the world. We are the greatest hypocrites, liars, cheats and manipulators. This is because of all our elected officials. Not just Republicans or Democrats! All of them!

You want to make America great? Ask questions. Investigate for yourself. Start conversations seeking solutions. Agree to disagree, but be willing to admit there might not be a right answer now. Get out and VOTE!
