CHRISTENSEN: For ESHD commissioner
It isn’t very often any local highway districts get really qualified people to serve as commissioners, but we living in the East Side Highway District have been incredibly lucky to have Graham Christensen since 2016 serving our road needs. He brings 25 years of experience as an engineer, manager and business owner to the district, and even worked as an engineering assistant at a county road department for several years. He has helped implement the district’s first Transportation Plan, among other accomplishments, and is well respected and liked with all ESHD employees.
His opponent, Lorna Casey-Kaiser, brings nothing of this magnitude to the table. She has no experience whatsoever having to do with running a highway district. According to people that I questioned who attend, regularly or semi-regularly, the monthly ESFD Board meetings, Ms. Casey-Kaiser has not been attending those meetings for years, since she opposed the LIDs.
What Ms. Casey-Kaiser does bring to the table is extremism, radical ideas, and a history of ideology that follows Brent Regan and his line of thinking. She does have a lot of signs up all over the area with her name, but without a doubt those were heavily financed by the far-right wing Republicans, wanting to get another of their pawns elected onto this nonpartisan position of ESHD. It’s all about power.
Don’t let another unqualified radical into a position with any control. Their decisions are often detrimental to the cities and county as a whole. VOTE FOR GRAHAM CHRISTENSEN.
