RAPE: Sentence sends wrong message

I thank George Silva for his letter regarding the sentencing (or honestly the lack of) Judge Cynthia Meyer gave to Ayden Harden for lewd conduct with a 15-year-old girl. He expressed exactly the questions and thoughts I and surely many others had about this case.

I have written a much longer letter to Judge Meyer and Deputy Kootenai County Prosecutor Art Verharen. The “slap on the wrist” by the political powers for cases of rape of girls and women must end. And if there were any factors that made this “a difficult decision” as Meyer expressed, they warranted being made transparent to the public.
