Joan Marie Blatchley, 79

Joan Marie Blatchley, 79, passed away on April 26, 2019, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House. She was born on Feb. 4, 1940, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Margaret and John Daly.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Jim, and her two wonderful sons, James Delaney and Thomas Delaney, both of Hayden, Idaho; her adored grandsons, Tom Delaney and Tyler Delaney; her beautiful granddaughter, Katie; and her daughter-in-law, Terri Delaney. Joan also left behind her sister, Patty Theil.

Joan started an organization in 1996 called the “Knit Wits” in Coeur d’Alene. They made thousands of knitted items for the needy and is still in existence.
