SOCIALISM: Shades of slavery

I keep hearing from Bernie Sanders and others that Socialism is the way to go. I have a few questions about that.

They all say that everyone should have a place to live. They say everyone should have free food (food stamps.) They say whatever a person needs should be provided, such as clothing, a job, and even free college. Sounds good, huh?

Well, a long time ago that happened. All this was provided by wealthy landowners. The people that were provided these things were called slaves. The one thing they did not give to them was their freedom to choose what house they got to live in. The freedom of what job they had to do. The freedom of what food they ate. The freedom of what clothes they wore. The freedom of what kind of medical care they had. As for college — is it free education or possibly free indoctrination?

As for myself, I do not want government to be the wealthy land owner, and I don’t want to be “bought” with their “free stuff.”

When you go to vote — THINK ABOUT THIS. Then make your choice. At least for now we have the opportunity to make a choice.
