Evans, a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard, earned Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player honors for the second-straight time, finishing with 32 points and six assists as NIC trounced Walla Walla 104-73 in the championship game on Sunday at Everett Community College for its second consecutive NWAC championship. “RayQuan’s been a pretty special player,” NIC men’s basketball coach Corey Symons said. “What’s really special is, he’s such a team guy; he has no problem sitting on the back burner. But he can take over when he needs to.”
