COHEN: A dilemma for GOP

| March 6, 2019 12:00 AM

I find it hypocritical how the House Republicans complained vehemently about taking a day to depose Michael Cohen and that it was a waste of their time. Yet they failed to do anything but assassinate the character of an individual who was admitting his wrongdoing and who will serve a prison sentence for his transgressions. Does forgiveness only apply to their collective sins?

They are the same congresspersons who “wasted” years trying to repeal the ACA (ObamaCare) without offering a replacement or trying to fix the original legislation. I believe they were focused on their hate for President Obama, who had the misfortune to have his name attached to the ACA, and not the well-being of the people they represent.

They have put the American citizens in health care jeopardy with their desire to selectively waste precious time rather than consider the American citizens’ plight with regard to health care or skyrocketing drug prices.

There are multiple instances of wasted legislative time in their dealings, but this is not one of them if we want to start to uncover the actual truth.

I believe Michael Cohen is trying to finally come clean and reveal how he was coerced to do the bidding of “individual one” and honestly admit what he did was very wrong.

I was embarrassed by the performance of the Congress. However, some members had the grace and dignity to ask what I feel are important questions regarding the current administration and its unorthodox, immoral and possibly illegal behavior.
