CHART: Much ado about
I’m much amused at the uproar over the media bias chart published in The Press.
The reaction is more an indication of local leanings and bias than statistical reality.
I have watched Fox News for 20 years which appalls my more liberal friends. I’m a fan of “The Five,” which has four conservatives and one liberal and is representative of where Fox is politically. I also listen to NPR and watch ABC News, which makes me a liberal socialist to my right wing buddies. I watch nothing on the left side of the chart.
The center is a statistical spot that is always in flux. Ms. Otero’s chart may not be perfectly accurate, but is probably closer to the truth than many want to think. The middle has definitely moved right as we baby boomers age, but it is nowhere near where Fox would like us to think.
Keep printing different points of view that make people think outside their comfort zones and continue to ignore the name calling.
