SENTENCE: No victim? Then no crime

| July 7, 2019 1:00 AM

It is absurd that a peaceful individual can be thrown in a cage because he had the gall to consume a plant (marijuana) to ease his physical pain. A plant which simply happens to be arbitrarily deemed illegal by government. Idaho can, and should be better. As a state we beat the drum of conservatism and individual liberty ... until it comes to alcohol, tobacco, and soft drugs, and whatever other liberties our “Lord and Savior government” doesn’t like.

Did Mr. Baker harm anyone or their property? Was he violent or being a public menace? Nope. If there is no victim, there is no crime. Putting this fellow in jail for such a ridiculous “crime” is a violation of personal liberty and, quite frankly, a violation of common sense. C’mon Idaho, be better.
