A fugitive with a lengthy criminal history was arrested Tuesday by Rathdrum Police.

Jennifer Narvaiz, 31, and another suspect were arrested by police and officers of the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force around 6 p.m. while sitting in a parked car at a local business, according to Rathdrum police.

Narvaiz was a fugitive who was wanted for credit card theft and felony drug charges.

“At the time of her arrest Narvaiz was found in possession of stolen debit cards, stolen blank checks, forged checks, drug paraphernalia, and illegal controlled substances,” according to a Rathdrum police news release.

The other suspect, 34-year-old David Gibbs, was also arrested and charged by police with harboring a fugitive, possession of stolen property and frequenting a place where drugs are held.

Police said the couple’s arrest could help solve a series of local cases.

“Based on the evidence found in Narvaiz and Gibbs’ possession, leads have developed in multiple theft cases throughout Kootenai County,” said the release.

The couple is being held in the Kootenai County Jail.
