POST FALLS — Colby Gennett totaled 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots and two steals as the Post Falls Trojans beat the Lewiston Bengals 71-58 in 5A Inland Empire League play Tuesday night at The Arena.

Terrell Mitchell, trying to round into form following an ankle injury suffered last month, added 15 points for Post Falls (13-6, 4-0 5A IEL), and earned praise from Trojans coach Mike McLean.

Donaven Santana scored 12 of his 18 points in the first half for Lewiston (6-10, 1-3). Santana, Dylan Johnson and Joel Mullikin each hit two 3-pointers in the second quarter for the Bengals, who hit seven of their nine 3s in the first half.

“We didn’t do a good enough job getting to their shooters, especially in the second quarter,” McLean said. “In the second half, we did a much better job on Santana.”
