Dean’s list

Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore., announced that Mercedes Schmeling of Post Falls is on the school’s fall semester 2018 dean’s list. To be recognized on the dean’s list, a student must achieve a 3.7 GPA per term and complete 12 or more graded hours.

Idaho’s Presidential Scholar candidates announced

The following list of local high school seniors are candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

One male and one female from each state will be selected for earning top scores on the SAT and ACT exams and are also evaluated for leadership and involvement in their schools and communities.

Coeur d’Alene — Crista M. Falk, Lake City High School; Jonathan W. Webb, Science Academy of South Texas; Toriana J. Wilson, Lake City High School

Hayden — Karson M. Chrispens, Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy; Benjamin A. Lambert, Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy

The Presidential Scholars will travel to Washington, D.C., June 23 to 25, where they will meet the president and have an opportunity to interact with distinguished scholars from around the country during three days of ceremonies, activities and forums.
