Brian Michael O’Donnell, 71

Brian Michael O’Donnell passed away Dec. 30, 2018, at the age of 71.

Michael was born on Jan. 2, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., to Jack and Vivian (Stanley) O’Donnell. He attended Orange Coast College, graduating with a certificate in construction technology and project management.

Michael was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He joined the Marines in 1967, serving for three years and two tours of duty in country.

Michael returned home to Long Beach, where he enjoyed surf fishing, body surfing, restoring old cars and most importantly, his prized 1966 Harley-Davidson Sportster.

In 1992 he followed his mother and sister to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Michael was preceded in death by both parents, Jack and Vivian. He is survived by his brother, Tim and his wife, Donna O’Donnell of Long Beach; his sister, Kelly and her husband, Jerry Lebsack of Harrison, Idaho; niece, Michelle Sales and family of Long Beach.

The family wishes to thank the Veterans Administration and many friends who offered support and camaraderie to Michael during his life in Coeur d’Alene.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, in Medical Lake, Wash. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local disabled veterans organization.
