Lake City High School theater presents 'Almost, Maine'

| January 25, 2019 12:00 AM

All is not what it seems, on a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, in Almost.

The remote, mythical, Maine town is at the heart of Lake City High School Theatre Arts Department’s upcoming presentation of “Almost Maine.”

As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways.

Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend — almost.

Overseeing the production as producer is LCHS Theatre Arts teacher Sandy Seaton. LCHS Speech and English teacher, Todd Jasmin, will direct this production.

A crew of more than 30 dedicated students, led by student stage manager Allie Dean, assistant stage manager, Emma Wagner and tech director, Sam Selby, will build the set, provide the props and run the show. The design team includes Allie Dean and Sam Selby on set design; Aubrey Bernard, costume design; AJ Duce, property design; Lydia Kearns and Hannah Goodwin, makeup design; Holly Rod, hair design; Mallory Patton, publicity and Michael McGiveney, light design.

The cast of 19 represents students in grades 9-12 and includes: Parker Henley, Grace Hite, Cheyenne Miller, Ethan Clem, Sam Selby, Taylor Roberts, Holly Rod, Darian Juvan, Cameron Zaragoza, Chloe Flechsing, Moses Miller, Rae Pratt, Mallory Patton, Noah Coll, Lydia Kearns, Stephanie Kaschmitter, Malachi Dodson, Aubrey Bernard and Tyler Moody.
