Tell us about yourself.

Generation:

I am what I like to call a millennial entrepreneur. I might have been born in 1983 but I don’t fit the “definition" of a millennial. I LOVE my job and I LOVE being able to do it every day! I have a passion for people and their faces!

Career and community involvement:

Graduated from Lake City High School in 2001, launched Earthly Beauty Bar in 2011. More than 14 years experience as an esthetician. Became a published author in 2016, was mentioned in People Magazine as a makeup artist for Julianne Hough’s wedding in 2017, recognized as a “Top 10 Influencer” and one of the “Top 12 Women in Business Leadership” by Spokane CDA Living magazine in 2018 and recent recipient of the Kootenai County Young Professionals “Top 30 under 40" award. Nearly 21,000 followers: @LaceofFace on Instagram.

Parental status:

I am beyond blessed to be full time single mom to my beautiful 9-year-old daughter, Zoey.

1. What is an esthetician?

A person who is knowledgeable about the nature and appreciation of beauty, especially in art. But really an esthetician is someone to pull out your unwanted hairs, color on your face, pop your zits and tell you you are pretty ... P.S. You are welcome!

2. Why is esthetics important?

Because we have eyes ... We like to look and feel our best. My job is to help women see how beautiful they are and help them achieve their goals.

3. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

I live by three quotes: 1. "It’s not who you know, it’s who knows you." 2. "The prettier you are, the easier your life is." 3. "Most people miss heaven by 18 inches — the difference between knowing Him in your head vs Him in your heart."

4. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I am an open book! No question is off-limits in my world, but if you don't know me you would be surprised how much of a "Star Trek" fan I am.

5. If your personality was a color, what would it be?

Red just like my hair, classic mixed with passion.
