Ryan, a 6-foot-4 sophomore post, totaled 19 points, 15 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists as the Hawks defeated Sandpoint 49-35 last Friday in the girls Battle for the Paddle game to take over first place in the 4A Inland Empire League. “Katy Ryan is tall, and I am happy for that,” Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said. “She is also a really good kid, who works hard and is becoming a pretty good basketball player.”
