ANNIVERSARIES
Bob and Kris Hoepfer
40th Anniversary
Bob and Kris (Reynolds) Hoepfer celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Phoenix, Ariz., in December. The couple were married in Coeur d’Alene on Dec. 16, 1978.
They have five grown children: Jen, Rob, Katy-Rae, Joe and Angie; and 10 grandchildren.
Bob and Kris lived in Priest River most of their lives attending schools there where they started dating in the ninth grade. Kris has worked 30 years at the Ranch Club GC and Bob has worked all his life in the wood products industry and now reside at Stoneridge GC.
The couple plan to travel to Mexico this fall to celebrate on the beach.
Mike and Lorene Moser
50th Anniversary
Mike and Lorene Selle Moser, lifelong North Idaho residents, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at an open house held at their Post Falls residence on Nov. 10, 2018. They married in Coeur d’Alene on Nov. 15 during a winter wonderland created by the record snowfall of 1968.
Mike retired in 2014 after a long career driving truck for a local sanitation company.
Lorene retired in 2016 after 40 years with North Idaho College Head Start.
They cherish time spent with their one grandson, Jace; son Jon and daughter-in-law Pershia. Their eldest son, Michael, passed away in 2001.
They look forward to exploring more of the remote areas offered by beautiful North Idaho.
Keith and Linda Larsen
50th Anniversary
Keith and Linda (Wolf) Larsen, of Post Falls, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Jan. 11, 1969, in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.
Linda was employed as a pharmacy technician at Medicine Man Pharmacy and Keith worked as a maintenance supervisor at Potlatch. Both are retired.
Their children are Denice Larsen (Paul Szott) of Post Falls and Kimberly Kaufman (Chad) of Coeur d’Alene. They have four grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas, Makayla and Brooklyn.
Keith and Linda enjoyed dinner out with their children and grandchildren and a small family gathering at their daughter’s home on Jan. 3, 2019, in celebration of their 50 amazing years together!
MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS
Hazel Mary Schultz
106th Birthday
Hazel Mary Schultz celebrated her 106th birthday on Jan. 12, 2019, with family and friends. Hazel was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, on Jan. 12, 1913. Her family moved to the U.S. in 1922, living most of her younger years in Bellingham, Wash.
Hazel has three children: son Dr. Douglas Schultz (wife Sandra) of Glendale, Calif., son Dr. Gary Schultz (wife Ali) of Palm Springs, Calif., and daughter Cheryl Pegel of Post Falls; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Hazel celebrated her special day beginning Saturday morning with her church family at Summit NorthWest Ministries and Saturday afternoon with a lovely dinner with family and friends.
When asked what she attributes her longevity to, she says “positive living” and good Scandinavian genes. Hazel easily negotiates the stairs to her bedroom every day. She is a good conversationalist and can regale her listeners with stories from her interesting past. All who know her say “she leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes.”
Greta Rounds
90th Birthday
Mrs. Greta Rounds celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends on Dec. 1, 2018.

5 GENERATIONS

Carol will be 93 years old on Feb. 1, 2019. She graduated from Arkansas City, Kan., High School 75 years ago and retired from Coeur d’Alene High School 30 years ago. She then taught math at North Idaho College.
EDUCATION
Mitchell McHugh, a second-year cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, competed in his first NCAA gymnastics meet last week at the West Point Open. He competes in the floor event for the Black Knights. Additionally Cdt. McHugh has achieved Dean’s List status in each of his first three semesters at West Point, academically ranking in the top 20 percent of his class. Cdt. McHugh is a graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School, 2016.
