Six seniors win for Hawks on senior night

RATHDRUM — Lakeland’s lineup was heavy with seniors as the Hawks defeated visiting Bonners Ferry 51-26 on Tuesday in a senior night dual meet.

Trevor Thorp (220 pounds), Chandler Axtell (126), Sam Edelblute (132), Cage Hendry (152), Curtis Johnson (170) and Connor Heim (182) had wins for Lakeland in their final home match.

“It was a great senior night — we were able to get most of the seniors into our lineup,” Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said.

The Hawks return to action Friday as they host a dual with Sandpoint, part of the Battle for the Paddle spirit competition between the two schools.
