Lillian Irene Moore, 91

Lillian Irene Moore, age 91, passed into eternity on Jan. 7, 2019. Lillian, also known to friends and family as “Buddy,” was born March 10, 1927, in Warren, N.H., to Hugh and Bessie Beattie. She was the third of five children, with an older brother and sister and a younger brother and sister. When she was 8 years old her family traveled across country and settled in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she attended school and made many friendships that lasted throughout her life.

In November of 1943, Lillian married Leonard Moore, and together they built a home in Post Falls, Idaho, where they raised two children, Jim and Linda. Lillian, a homemaker and stay-at-home-mom, always put her family first. Her home was a warm, loving environment where the doors were always open to friends and family. Lillian loved the community of Post Falls and volunteered for several years on the local and regional library boards, served as an election worker, was a Girl Scout co-leader and attended Royal Neighbors. She was an accomplished poet, avid reader, expert card-player and loved working in her flower garden.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; son, James; granddaughter, Shannon; brother, Bill and sisters, Lora and Isabel. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Roger) Wilhelm; close family friend, Gary Wright; younger brother, Rich (Alice) Beattie; dearly loved grandchildren, Jason (Mali) Wilhelm, Sharon (Dave) Weir, Gosta (Sheila) Schlegel; Alyssa Wilhelm and Jimmy Link; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, ID 83854. Please visit Lillian’s online memorial at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
