Sex offender sought for failing to register

Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a man wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

A $100,000 arrest warrant has been issued for Frank Michael Darby Sr., according to a post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Darby is required to register as the result of a 2008 conviction for lewd conduct with a child under 16 years of age.

He is 6 feet tall, weighs 190 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.

Detectives believe he may be staying with friends or relatives in the Spokane area.
