Cardinal men shoot 73.5 percent in rout of Treasure Valley

COEUR d’ALENE — Nate Pryor had 24 points on 11-of-12 shooting from the field, leading North Idaho College to a 123-77 win over the Treasure Valley Chukars in a Northwest Athletic Conference game at Rolly Williams Court on Saturday.

NIC shot 50 of 68 (73.5 percent) from the field in the game.

Emmitt Taylor III scored 23 points and Jarod Greene 17 points for NIC (13-2, 2-0 NWAC), which hosts Walla Walla next Saturday.

Treasure Valley is 3-9, 1-1.

COEUR d’ALENE — Heidi Sellman scored 26 ponts on 10-of-12 shooting to lead the Cardinals past the Chukars in a Northwest Athletic Conference game at Rolly Williams Court.

“She had a terrific game,” NIC coach Chris Carlson said. “She’s been playing strong, and Keara (Simpson) gets a lot of attendion. Heidi’s been in a rhythm lately, and a lot of her baskets were at key times. She was really clutch today.”

Alex Carlton hit 3 of 3 3-pointers and had 17 points and three assists for NIC (11-3, 1-1 NWAC), which hosts Walla Walla next Saturday.

“Alex had one of her best games of the year,” Carlson said.

Lillie Smith scored 26 points for Treasure Valley (9-6, 1-1). Timberlake High product Lilly Kelley had six points in 29 minutes for Treasure Valley.
