COEUR d’ALENE — Brooklyn Rewers scored 13 points for the Lake City Timberwolves in a 58-30 win over the Cheney Blackhawks in a nonleague game on Wednesday at Lake City High.

Aubrey Avery and Sara Muehlhausen scored 10 points off the bench for Lake City (12-2).

“Our starters struggled a little bit offensively and we were a little slow coming out of the gate,” Lake City coach James Anderson said. “Having both Aubrey and Sara in double figures was good to see. Defensively, we were really good all night, but just didn’t finish shots at the rim. We had some other kids step up and do a nice job tonight.”

Lake City travels to Lakeland on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
