NEWS: Challenging beliefs is good

I select my news sources using the following criteria: Do they validate my beliefs or challenge them?

I want to be challenged, not spoon fed customized tripe that fuels righteous indignation. I want to understand why others believe what they believe. Just because a news source provides information on an issue or person I do not want to hear, does not mean they are fake news providers or witch hunters.
