Glen Edward Moering Jr., 71

Glen Edward Moering, Jr., 71, of Marietta, Ga., passed away on Dec. 23, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta.

Mr. Moering is survived by his children, Glen Moering, III and his wife, Cindy; Debra Ellis; Kevin Moering; Timothy Moering and his wife, Roxy and Matthew Moering and his wife, Melanie; grandchildren Emily, Colin, Anna, Nate, Charlotte, Caleb, Liam, Wesley and Cash; siblings Shirley Moering, Gwen Nielsen, Greg Moering, Sr., Sue Moering Piersma and Grant Moering. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ellen Moering.

Mr. Moering had a Masters of Divinity and was a Baptist Minister. He was passionate, full of wisdom, a respected mentor and the most intelligent man the family knew. He was also an accomplished athlete in football, baseball and basketball, and although his brothers tried, they never came close to beating him in all forms of athletics! This is a known fact and agreed to by all.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
