TRUMP: Fair trial required

On Saturday morning, I sent this letter to my senators. I feel it is important to us as a nation that our Constitution be honored.

“As a United States Senator, you have the sole power to try impeachment hearings. You must take an oath to be impartial and to hear all the facts. The Senate Majority Leader and other Senators have said that they have their minds made up. That is not a trial. That is a Kangaroo Court. A trial must have witness testimony, impartial jurors and due consideration of the actual facts. The trial to remove Donald Trump must be fair and impartial, adequately reviewing the evidence to reach a just conclusion. Regardless of your personal convictions, to do less would indicate that you do not belong in the Senate.

“Despite what the media says, the public is concerned that Mr. Trump receive a fair trial, not the quick sham trial that Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham desire that makes a mockery of our Constitution.”
