Corey and Jan Cherrstrom

50th Anniversary

Corey and Jan Cherrstrom, of Coeur d’Alene, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Dec. 27, 1969, in Burlingame, Calif.

After Jan finished putting Corey through his last two years of veterinary school at the University of California, Davis, they settled in Loomis, Calif., where Corey joined two friends in what would become a large veterinary facility. Corey retired after 36 years and the couple discovered Coeur d’Alene and knew this was where they wanted to live.

They have three boys: Matt (Stephanie) Cherrstrom and grandchildren Bryce and Eliason of Coeur d’Alene; Dan (Amy) Cherrstrom and grandchildren Jack, Alex and Nick living in Avon, Ohio; and Loren Jay Cherrstrom living in Las Vegas, Nev.
