JAIL: No place to eat
Readers and voters, I was just released from the Kootenai County Jail, having spent two days there for disturbing the peace. While incarcerated there, I was given inedible food that I would compare to a North Korean prison camp.
For breakfast, I was given a half bowl of dry cereal with half a glass of skim milk and one hardboiled egg. For dinner, I was given what appeared to be a deep fried chicken patty, but it was pink inside, so I don’t know what it was, and two slices of bread with no mustard to give it flavor. The highlight of each meal was a small glass of Kool-Aid. Me and the other prisoners couldn’t eat the food, so it was sent back, wasted.
Other meals included boiled whole beans or rice, with some foul smelling and looking ground beef. My three cats at home eat better than the inmates do.
When you vote for a new sheriff, find out what he is going to do about this, and also the amount of money spent on an average meal for the prisoners. There were some very fine jail staff also.
