Timberwolves clamp down on North Central
COEUR d’ALENE — Kendall Pickford scored 18 points and Lake City held North Central to seven second-half points in a 49-20 nonleague win on Friday night.
“I thought we were really active defensively,” Lake City coach James Anderson said. “The kids were flying around. We’ve been putting in work on our defense and communication. They had active hands, and it was fun to watch. We forced a lot of turnovers and did a good job of taking the 3-point line away, and not giving away the inside.”
Brooklyn Rewers scored 17 points for Lake City (6-2), which hosts Lewiston in the 5A Inland Empire League opener for both on Thursday.
