LIBRARIES: Dumbing down America
All the commies in town are in an uproar over their progressive books being hidden by a “book bandit” in the Coeur d’Alene library. But the commies in the library itself are also hiding books, and for keeps — that is, removing them from the shelves permanently.
The poetry of Robert Browning, Elizabeth Barrett-Browning, Ezra Pound, the notebooks of J. Krishnamurti, works by Arthur Schopenhauer, and others have been taken off the shelves over time because of “poor circulation.” These volumes are classics, and repositories of truth and decency. They are not best-seller novels or popular celebrity bios that come and go.
When questioned, the library’s head commissioner admitted that Shakespeare would also disappear when his works didn’t meet circulation quotas. What’s next then? The Bible?
The American Librarians Association is vigorously participating in the dumbing-down of America. Evidence of this is the proliferation of comic book culture, adult graphic novels with full-frontal cartoon pornography, soft-porn romances, gutter language and beyond disgusting picture books, chronicles of black grievance, white male vilification and LGBTQ promos. Politically correct and left-leaning Marxist publications out-number conservative right leaning ones 10 to one. Make that 50 to one.
Sadly, librarianship has devolved into the distribution of politically correct material and censorship of opposing viewpoints. The systematic removal of classic literature and the suppression of truthful and clean information is no more than a creeping Kristalnacht book burning. God help America.
