Philip Allen Garner, 47

Philip Allen Garner, age 47, passed away Nov. 29, 2019, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Phil was born April 22, 1972, to Lee Evens and Martha Ridenour.

Some might say Phil was strong-minded, and when he set his mind on doing something, he usually got it done. Phil set his mind on marrying Charity Linden, in Canby, Calif., on July 5, 1998. A year later, they found themselves moving to North Idaho, where they met up with his extended family and started Clear Blue Window Washing.

Not only was Phil capable of feeding the many mouths that passed through their doors with his wife by his side, but he also gave back to the community by volunteering at events like Ironman CDA, OEM, and the MS Society with his family. These were just a few of the things he liked to do.

Phil was preceded in death by his mom, brother-in-law and others. He is survived by Charity (Linden), his wife of 21 years; his two sons: Ethan Garner (16) and Abel Garner (12), both of Coeur d’Alene; sisters, Marie Linden, Nancy Parker of Canby, Calif., Amanda Freidenbloom of Philadelphia, and Anita Evans-Bzdok of Akron, Ohio; brothers, Marcus Evans, Larry Evans and Shaun Evans of Allenwood, Pa.; and father, Lee Evans of Allenwood.

Phil was a kind, good and generous man who loved his family more than anything, and his passing has left a deep and painful void in all of us.

A celebration of life for Phil will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the MS Society-Greater N.W. Chapter or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, has been entrusted with Philip’s care. Please sign Phil’s online memorial at www.englsihfuneralchapel.com.
