CORRIDOR: Just call it theft

Brian Jorgensen has a real point in taking private property in the proposed “Coeur d’Alene Health Care Corridor” to officially devalue and steal property.
This is a moral issue. It says, in effect, “You don’t own your land, only what we — the city — allow you to occupy.” Even if we put this to a city-wide vote, what’s the difference between this and fascist or Nazi despotism or Communist collectivism?
Even if it is put to a collective vote in the city with perhaps a generous payment of a fraction of the market value of the property to the owners, it’s still stealing.
