Julie Davis Ward, 86

Julie Davis Ward, 86, born May 31, 1933, in Pocatello, Idaho, died peacefully in her sleep on July 24, 2019, in Port Angeles, Wash. A beautiful, kind and loving woman with a perpetual smile, she will forever be missed by her family and all who knew her. She is embraced in the arms of the heavenly angels, where she can now rest in peace.

Julie met and married the love of her life, Ralph C. Pyatt, in 1952, then settled for several years in Trout Creek, Mont. Children from that marriage include Charli, Rose and Jeff. Sadly, that marriage ended and she subsequently married Jim Ward. From that marriage came one child, Vicki.

Julie lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for nearly 50 years before moving to Washington state, in 2016.

She retired from her position of scale shack operator at Kootenai County Solid Waste on April 30, 2001. Every customer at the Ramsey Transfer Station was treated to a beautiful smile and kind words. She delighted in handing out homemade cookies to co-workers and children accompanying their parents, as well as giving dog treats to the dog lovers.

Julie actually happily returned to work at the landfill from April 2002 to October 2002.

Besides her job, she enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing, as well as her children and grandchildren.

Julie Davis Ward was one of a set of beautiful triplet girls, born May 31, 1933, to Martha Mary Nolte Davis and Clarence Hershey Davis. Her parents already had seven children when the triplets arrived, then added two more.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Charlene (“Charli”) Pyatt Johnson, Rose Marie Pyatt, Jefferson Elder Pyatt and Vicki Lynn (Ward) Leveque; three stepchildren, Shirley Ward, Jimmy and Robin Ward, and John Ward; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Ward, Chrystal Stincelli, Mellisa, Emmy Lou Miller, Joshua Pyatt, Samuel Eubanks and Corrine Pyatt Campbell, Heather, Angel and Joey Steenburg, and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by identical sisters, June Spinola and Jewel Foster, of California, and youngest brother, Ned Davis, from Idaho. Unnamed are the countless other, much-loved, extended family members.

She was predeceased by her parents, Martha and Clarence Davis, and eight siblings — sisters, Doris Drowns, Rhea Glassburn, Ruby Glassburn, Lucille Hogue Hermison and brothers, Danny Davis, Melvin Davis and Stanley Davis and recently deceased, Lee Davis; her first love and husband, Ralph C. Pyatt, second husband, Jimmy D. Ward and stepson, Wade Ward.
