VICTIMS: Forgotten in aftermath
Watching various reports on TV the last few days has been very distressing. There seems to be no sympathy for all those people who lost their lives in El Paso, Dayton and Chicago. Just various politicians bashing the president as if no matter what he says it’s wrong. Really, what happened to taking time to mourn with those families who lost loved ones?
I’m not a Bible thumper but read Ephesians 4:31: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander along with every form of malice.”
What happens when one becomes a politician — all Christian and/or civility goes out the door? It’s a sad day when campaigning or president bashing means more than lives. There needs to be a coming together of ALL people in our country to mourn, not hate or blame.
