Mountain America Credit Union opens in Post Falls

With a philosophy of people helping people and offering a list of almost 20 services, Mountain America Credit Union opened last week at 1729 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls.

The not-for-profit financial cooperative opened in the 1930s in Salt Lake City and now has more than 90 branches in the Inter-Mountain West. With six employees guided by Jeff Tucker, member experience officer, and Jason Steenstra, branch manager, the new place is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday with a drive-through.

The grand opening will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, with free burgers, hot dogs, piggy banks and a chance to win a SwagCycle E-Bike. Phone 208-262-4469. Check www.macu.com.

Paragon Brewing opening full brewpub

With its full brewpub opening, Paragon Brewing tells customers to “expect an array of beers on tap for the five-year anniversary May 4” at 5785 N. Government Way.

Offering a diverse “beer-centric” menu with a family friendly environment open to all ages, hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday with food specials. Owners are Chris Kieres, Kerry Kieres and Matt Dill.

Relax & Recover CDA open on Government

Called “an affordable wellness center,” Relax & Recover CDA has opened at 3115 N. Government Way.

Open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, it offers deep-tissue thermal massage beds, chiropractic traction beds, automatic myofascial release machines, red/near-infrared light therapy and 100 percent THC-free CBD products.

The company offers an online application that allows Realtors to easily sell new and custom homes with an easy and fun process for the homeowner along with certified builders for the construction.

- Bi-Mart will open a new store in the former Stein’s Family Foods building at 16102 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum.

- On our London bus tour our guide told us that people getting drunk at a hanging would have a “hangover,” and a prisoner on the way to the gallows would be allowed one drink — ”one for the road.”
