Strobel, NIC men second

SPOKANE — Dawson Strobel of North Idaho College finished second in a playoff, and the Cardinals also finished second at a Northwest Athletic Conference tournament hosted by Community Colleges of Spokane which concluded Tuesday at Hangman Valley Golf Course.

NIC shot 604, five strokes back of the Sasquatch.

In the women’s tourney, Caitlyn Fisher finished third for NIC, which also finished third, 12 strokes back of winner Columbia Basin, which beat Southwestern Oregon in a playoff.

Next up for NIC is at NWAC match hosted by Highline May 5-6 in Kent, Wash.
