H. David Peters

H. David “Dave” Peters died on April 5, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. Dave was born in Spokane on Feb. 11, 1948. He lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for most of his life.

His parents, Larry and Marge Peters, and his brother, Tom, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Terry; his son, Mark of Albany, Ore., and his son, Nick of Bonney Lake, Wash. He is also survived by his daughters, Amber Hamlin of Spokane, Wash., and Abby White, of Bonney Lake; and nine grandchildren.

When Dave was not teaching, he enjoyed politics, classical music, poker and going to the movies. He picked up litter while driving his golf cart and visiting his neighbors. Education was his life’s profession. Even when he was ill, he taught computer classes at the Senior Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2019, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tacoma, Wash. Internment will occur at a later date in Spokane Valley.
