NOTRE DAME: Of flames and tears

It has been my pleasure to have served as an Acolyte to my RCN Chaplain celebrating a mass at Notre Dame during a visit of my ship HMCS Restigouche to France in 1965. Watching this tragic fire unfold on international TV has brought more sad memories and more tears to my eyes.

Paris is another dream of my late French-speaking Victoria that now will never happen.
