H.E.L.P.: Another great year at Bartenders’ Ball

The Bartenders’ Ball held at the Plaza Shops on Sherman Avenue on March 2 was again a successful event and raised more than $15,000 in funds for the local nonprofit H.E.L.P. Help Every Little Paw. The popular event boasted the best in the hospitality and service industry in the Inland Northwest. The pet food drive was a huge success, raising more than 1,250 pounds of food for local pets in need. This was an increase from last year’s number, despite the snow and freezing temperatures making it difficult to bring donations. The food bank was thankful to those who put in the extra effort!

Organizers Holly and Karen Hansen were delighted to announce the event was sponsored in full by Willamette Valley Bank and Beam Suntory insuring 100 percent of the funds raised goes to the mission statement of this nonprofit founded by the Hansen family.

The area’s finest bars and caterers competed with specialty drinks and appetizers for the coveted title of Champion for 2019. H.E.L.P. appreciates each and every participant and hopes everyone will support these businesses throughout the year. This year participants were 315 Martini & Tapas, Bardenay, Beverly’s, Capone’s Pub & Grill, Crickets, Greenbrier Inn, Juniors BBQ, Rusty’s Sports Bar, Seasons of Coeur d’Alene, Westwood Brewery, newcomers Momo’s, Messy’s Burger, Silver Corner Bar, and Honey and Pastry and More.

This year’s winners with a combination of votes from Judges Choice and People’s Choice 1st Place Bar: Seasons of Coeur d’Alene, Silver Corner Bar took second and Rusty’s Sports Bar took third place. The top award for caterer went to (rookie) Messy’s Burgers, Greenbrier took second place and Junior BBQ took third place.

Thank you to our generous supporters and volunteers: Beam Suntory, Willamette Valley Bank, The Coeur d’Alene Resort, Holly and Karen Hansen at Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty, Jacque Sergeant and Jenna Ahearn of Pioneer Title, Ruby Frog Entertainment, Rod Reed/2 Reed Audio-Visual and Travis Bertram with Pulse Productions. Without them, the Bartenders’ Ball would not be nearly so awesome!
