Hayden Kite Festival planned

The City of Hayden’s annual Kite Festival is coming up on Saturday, April 20, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Broadmoore Park.

Registration will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the park. Judging will happen from noon to 2 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m. Categories include best-in-show, high-flyer, best homemade and more. The festival is free and open to all ages.

Don’t have a kite? Kites will be available on a first come first serve basis.

The park is located in the Broadmoore Estates subdivision, north of Atlas Elementary School, and is accessible from Prairie Avenue and Atlas Road.
