'Silent Film Night' Saturday at the JACC

Local film historian Larry Telles will screen several silent films and explain the history behind them Saturday, Sept. 29 in Post Falls.

“Silent Film Night,” presented by Film Alliance Northwest, will be at 7 p.m. at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St.

“This event is good, clean fun for the whole family,” said an announcement of the screenings. “Come and see what people were watching 100 years ago.”

The films “The Great Train Robbery” (10 minutes), “A Broncho Billy western” (13 minutes), and “The Tramp” featuring Charlie Chaplin (24 minutes) will be presented with live piano accompaniment. The screening will feature 16mm film and a 16mm projector.

Admission is $5.
